This is your chance to step away from your everyday environment and enter a safe space where you will make friends for life and be part of our biggest event yet.
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING
When you step out of your everyday life and choose to be in a room with super-inspiring people so you can focus on yourself and your art - you will walk away with unwavering confidence, a reset and friends for life.
MORNING SESSION: Join us for inspiring talks and demo’s from speakers. These talks will focus on learning more about yourself, your art, and your mindset so you can focus on the steps that matter and learn why your art has more power than you realise.
AFTERNOON TEA: We will then break for a beautiful afternoon tea in the main house and gardens, where you will get to meet and mingle with other artists.
AFTERNOON SESSION: We will have breakout sessions in the afternoon so you can get to know other artists and discuss the ideas you learnt in the morning. We will end with a guest speaker Q&A session.
CELEBRATE: We want to celebrate you and all things art. Because your art matters. This is going to be a super special day as this is the official launch party for the YOUR ART MATTERS book and Michelle’s birthday.

As you explore the deeper reasons behind why your art matters it becomes a guiding force in your life. Sharon will take you on a journey of past, present and future as she speaks on the importance of haptic knowledge and the integral ways you can physically connect with your art and environment. Relating this to the digital world and the dangers of missing important connections in your art and life. This is where the magic happens.
Michelle Lloyd
Founder of United ArtSpace and Host of the Your Art Matters Podcast
Michelle Lloyd is the founder of the global arts platform, United ArtSpace. She has worked in the creative industries for more than 20 years. During that time Michelle has worked in product development and trends for homewares, Studio Director for an in-person art studio, Fine Art Degree Student and Artist. Her mission is to help artists understand why their art matters so they can find their voice, purpose and people. Michelle is a big advocate for the arts and is host of The Your Art Matters Podcast as well as online courses, events and global community.
Sharon Griffin
Artist
Sharon is a figurative artist who specialises in ceramic sculpture directly inspired by the woodland where she often explores places in which to ‘breathe’.... The textures, the smells, the secret spaces all provide a kind of ‘awakening’... Sharon uses the human figure to help communicate a sense of deeper meaning within humankind and of her own experience of being a woman. The sculptures represent a state of being; internal struggles of love, loss, displacement, vulnerability and strength.
Bonny Snowdon
Artist and founder of the Bonny Snowdon Art Accademy
Bonny is a globally renowned coloured pencil artist, specialising in creating realistic pet portraits that you can treasure for a lifetime.
After being told at a young age she would never become an artist she then didn't draw for 30 years! Bonny's passion has led her to create a community where she teaches and mentors thousands of beginner and more advanced artists worldwide how to draw realistically with coloured pencils.
MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT
We will be hosting the event in Shropshire. Home to the Shropshire Hills, Ironbridge Gorge (the first ever Ironbridge in the world), local campsites, holiday sites and not far from the historic town of Shrewsbury.
Shropshire is a beautiful county in the UK and has lots of art galleries and cultural activities.
PLACES TO STAY
The event venue has rooms available, but they are limited, so book fast if you want to stay at the venue. Alternative hotels are 10 minutes drive away, such as Travel Lodge and campsites. Once you sign up, we will send you a welcome pack with accommodation details.
WHERE WE WILL BE
We will be at a manor house in the beautiful countryside of Dorrington, Shropshire. The venue is stunning and set in 160 acres of walk, lakes and woodland. This is a countryside escape, so you will have time to enjoy exclusive use of the grounds whilst you are there.
FOOD AND DRINK
- Lunch will be provided - we will have an incredible afternoon tea in the main house, with doors opening to the extensive grounds so you can also sit outside
- Evening meal of hot and cold food will be provided - you can self-serve, so you can pick and choose what you want
- Hot drinks and water will be provided from 10am-5pm
Dietary requirements will be catered for.

DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
No, we can’t offer refunds for this event due to the numbers needed to make it happen.
CAN YOU RECOMMEND PLACES NEARBY TO STAY?
Yes, once you sign up you will be sent a list of hotels.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO LOCALLY?
There are a few galleries, lots of shops, and walks down the River Severn. Cafes galore, lovely restaurants. You will be very close to the Shropshire Hills, Ironbridge (World Heritage Site) and lots more.
IS FOOD PROVIDED?
We will provide you with lunch and drinks during the day. We will gather dietary requirements closer to the event.
You will also receive food and a welcome drink at the evening celebration.
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING IN THE EVENT?
The event will be set up with seated tables, where you will listen to speakers - there will be opportunities to have break-out sessions with others and we are in the most beautiful location so you will be able to enjoy the outdoors too.
